My Anatomy

Another really cool thing I got up to at the weekend was that we went to visit Jay's sister in Leeds. After a night of pizza, beer and gossip we got up the next day and headed to Toria's house to help Helen out with her uni project. Following on from her pervious project based on day on the day of the dead skulls (she did some unbelievable black and white drawings of these) she chose to work on anatomy. Flicking through her research file she picked out some great artists to be inspired by and I even found myself feeling a bit more inspired to draw.

Drawings- Jay Storey
Photographs taken by Jay and edited by me.

Jay drew our insides, muscles and bones on various parts of our bodies, my neck and Helen's hand and ribcage with photographs taken in various stages of detail. The outcome was quite stunning and I actually think I'd rock this as a neck tattoo! I took a few more snaps of the day but again I regret not taking more.

 Great bank holiday weekend <3

Blue Planet

At the weekend I finally got to go to the Aquarium to see the fish. Me and Jay have been watching Blue Planet the BBC documentaries about sea creatures over the past couple of weeks and this had heightened my want to go and visit the animals themselves. I was most excited about the shark tunnel and seeing Sting Rays which were actually massive.

Since then we've also seen various other documentaries including one about Dolphin and Wales intelligence, one about Great White Sharks and one about Killer Wales.

I really enjoyed being able to see animals that we would never usually get the chance to see but I couldn't help thinking that it would be a whole lot better to see them in their natural habitat. One day I'd really love to go somewhere scuba diving.

Stellar

Here are some more images from the photoshoot a few weeks ago. For the Eustratia Lookbook 'Stellar'.
Photography by Toria Brightside, make up by Susie Clarke, hair by Stacey Mavou and models, Sapphire Black (me), Biomechanina and Helen Peta Storey.

My hair is now purple. Instead of just being satisfied as it was I decided that i wanted to try and cover up more of the pink that hadn't dyed properly. This resulted in me mixed too much dark purple dye with the lilac dye hence the now purple hair!

This weekend is bank holiday and I'm so excited. I can't wait till I finish work at 4.30 so I can start the weekend, tons of fun things planned and people to see.

Violet

And the sky was made of amethyst and all the stars look just like little fish, you should learn when to go you should learn how to say no!

On the quest for new coloured hair I'm violet while I decide.

Pictures courtesy of Harriett Couzens (except for the last one from Toria Brightside) who is also the girl in the pictures laughing and dancing with me.

Me watching on as Toria and Sophie struggle to put up there tent with the help of Jay

Me happily drinking my red wine and discussing with Harriet whether we should dance

This was what we decided haha

It makes me sad that summer is nearly already over in england. The cold and empty winter nights are getting closer. At least we can all look forward dark clothes in fashion again.

The Vivienne Westwood Heart Belt

At work I am currently putting together the colour palette for Autum/Winer 12/13 (not as exciting as it sounds) so for the past few days me and Chez have been going on trips to Manchester and the Trafford Center. I couldn't help but notice, what I thought was the most gorgeous skirt in the Vivienne Westwood shop window. It turns out its actually a belt with the price tag of £195. I think I would prefer it if it was a bit of a darker check or maybe just black. Still a gorgeous item though, if a little out of my price range.
