2011 Summary

When I look back on 2011 I don't consider it to be the best year, however when I really think about it I realize I have actually achieved quite a lot.

I have a job in the industry I want to work in. I set up this blog Feeling Vague in May, Just recently I bought my own flat, I visited London, Amsterdam, Abersoch and the Lake District all places I've been before but all places I love, I went to two outdoor festivals in the summer for the first time ever, I've dyed my hair several different colours, and I think through personal motivation my creativity has grown more than I realize.

I'm not sure whether these stats are circumstantial or whether they are genuinely posts people enjoyed reading the most but these are my Top 5 Blog Posts based on hits (excluding traffic from google).

There is already a lot of exciting things to look forward to in 2012, It's my birthday in 3 weeks time which generally means I get to eat a lot of Italian food, more good times in the new flat to come and plenty of things to look forward to throughout the year.

Hope everyone has an amazing night tonight and celebrates the beginning of the new year in style.

What I wore #7

The past couple of days I've been away in the lake district with my family. I was slightly disappointed with the lack of snow and replacement of rain but still managed to have a lovely time and a bit of a rest. I put myself on an internet ban which didn't exactly go to plan. Dinner on the first night ended up taking 2 and a half hours so I ended up having a sneaky online check but other than that I did pretty well. I've got some more beautiful pictures to come which I'll post another day.

I shared a room with my sister Charlotte who just got a new camera for Christmas so these pictures are courtesy of her with editing by me.

Christmas presents

I got totally spoilt this year, too many lovely presents to mention. Of course I got practical things for the flat, like a freezer, alice and wonderland bed sheets and Tea Lights. But also lots of gorgeous pretty things like necklaces, rings, accessories, clothes and shoes.

Jay bought me so many amazing things this year I can't believe how lucky I am. My Mum bought me a lush velvet maxi skirt from Topshop but cos it was tiny I had to send it back to get a bigger size, I'm gutted it's not back yet because I just can't wait to wear it!

Here's just a few of the things I've got.

Polka dot headband

Topshop Turquoise Shoes

Urban Decay

Creative Books

Crystal Necklaces

Giant Tea Mugs

Latex Prettyness

I'm so gutted it's all over already but we still have new years eve to look forward to before getting back to the grind.

Design #2 Waste Of Ink

My boyfriend Jay is a graffiti artist and currently apprenticing to tattoo at Tashi Design in Burnage. He does graffiti murals, kids bedrooms, wall canvases, tattoo designs and takes commissions. I'm currently teaching him how to use adobe photoshop and illustration to convert his art into digital media. In the mean time I designed him a web banner, promotional flyer and business cards so he can promote him self as an artist.

The work that he's done includes, university walls, clubs, music studios, shop shutters and kids rooms. His canvases are customizable with any personal name or word. He also has several pieces of Wall Art which will also be available to buy soon.

Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas to everyone. I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas day and got all the things they wished for. I will post some of my favourite presents soon. Once again I can not believe how fast the day has come, the weeks leading up to it have been a blur. I've still got Christmas dinner and my present from Jay left to come and I can't wait.

This is a photography of my family setting off sky lanterns that my Mum asked me to edit for her Christmas cards.

VELVET VELVET VELVET

Velvet is my favourite thing in the world right now, so warm and cosy I just want velvet everything. It comes in all the perfect wintery colours, navy blue, dark green, deep red and plum purple. I wish more than anything the velvet doc martens weren't so hard to get hold of because they are top of my velvety wish list.

What I wore #6

I apologize for my blogging absence this week. I took the week off from work to catch up on my Christmas shopping and to do a couple of shoots. It was very hectic it but I had a lovely week organising things in the flat and going into Manchester. I did try and document some of the week on my film camera but I have no idea if any of the pictures are going to come out. I have lots of new posts to go up in the next few days leading up to Christmas.

I took these pictures in the hall way in my block and although there is massive windows there isn't much light because of the rainy British winter weather. So rather than try and over edit them I thought I would just leave them as they are.

The Lacey shorts I'm wearing in this picture I bought from a shop in Afflecks last week and I'm completely in love with them. I wore them for a shoot that I will be posting shortly and I've worn them so many times since I bought them. They are really comfy and look really pretty with lots of outfits. I'm also am getting used to my  new hair. As much as I love having lighter colours, darker colours suit me better and are a lot easier to maintain. I just have to find a way to stop my shower from turning pink! I'm also enjoying wearing extensions again as I dyed my old light pink ones to match my hair now.

I hope that everyone is feeling excited and prepared for Christmas this weekend, only 5 days to go :).

Bye bye Lilac

I finally decided to change my hair colour. Although I loved lilac hair I was getting a bit fed up of having high maintenance light coloured hair which was very patchy. I also decided that it was not worth the long term heath of my hair to bleach it again which I would of had to do to make it turquoise so I settled on a darker colour. Pictures below.

Everything this dye touched turned pink, pink sink, pink tiles, pink bath, pink door, pink clothes
